Facts on the ground contradict a drumbeat of headlines
We just need to wait till test scores come out at the end of the year to get some relief.
I wonder how the Chronicle will spin that!
Headline: “Unprecedented increase in test scores comes at the cost of misery of students and teachers."
Kids happier when dumber.
That's the New York Post Headline!
"Test score improvements fail to boost staff, student morale, sources say."
Bingo.
Jim you on bsky yet?
Now I am. Thanks.
The Chronicle should outsource the HISD beat to Schutze with two promises: 1. No editing of his stories and 2. A fat paycheck.
The fat paycheck would have to clear the bank before i would be able to commit.
What happened to the once respected Chronicle? They never published hometown gal Molly Ivins, but other than that they once had a formidable newsroom. Their “reporting” today would have never seen the light of day 10-20 years ago.
My best guess would be that it's owned by someone who's never been to Houston, at least not on purpose.
